Covid impact management
Project and programme management of a multi-stage upgrade of self-storage assets across NSW, ACT and VIC, during Covid-19 conditions impacting cross-border resourcing and construction risk and delivery across 2020 and 2021. With an average land area of approximately 10,000m2 per site, sites have varying heritage elements in different council and historical contexts, with numerous having restrictions on external façade refreshes which are a key component of the branding-oriented programme. Ensuring brand consistency across contexts and managing delivery within budget in pandemic conditions are some of our key value adds in this portfolio engagement for Abacus Property Group (one of Australia’s largest owners of self-storage facilities).
Our scope
Level 6’s scope has included full project management of multi-stage upgrades across different states, including:
Management of the roll-out across site audits, design development, building approvals, tender release, assessment and award, administration of contracts and superintendency.
The development of brand standard for Retail and Signage.
Management of multiple heritage-listed sites and their specific requirements and restrictions for upgrades, while ensuring brand consistency.
Close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders including architects, design consultants, Storage King Operations, Legal & Asset Teams to facilitate the works.
