How we work

Our Level 6 methodology is tailored to accomodate the unique needs and environments of our clients, as we design the optimum approach to each project.

Our methodology

We use an empathetic discovery process to understand the requirements of all project stakeholders and drive outcomes that create 360° value.

We identify and support the most valuable partners and teams for each specific project context, optimising strategy and productivity.

We use creativity and critical thinking to go beyond simply reporting on progress and managing risk, always extracting as much as possible from the whole value chain.

We nurture a partnership environment where incentives and the project framework are designed to promote alignment.

We bring strong business acumen to our case-making and recommendations, while championing the values and creative potential of design.

With an appreciation for both the societal and commercial benefit of design, we are literate in design process, opportunity, risk and impact. We act as a bridge between creative Design Thinking and complex technical analysis, managing people and risk while pushing for a transformative design-led outcome every time.

Level Six has been an integral part of the project’s [Rouse Hill Town Centre] development and built strong relationships across the board – whilst the relevant management tools have been used effectively for managing and reporting the typical project management functions, it’s this that has most influenced a high performing team. Dealing with multiple and varied internal and external stakeholders has been a strength… broad capability across design, development and project management has been a real asset to this complex project.

Our process

We are a lynchpin throughout the entire lifecycle. Using a Level 6 lens, we manage the multiple influences and inputs in a project lifecycle - driving technical, creative and commercial value.

Discover

Learn

  • Ask the right questions, using effective briefing tools, thinking short & long term.

  • Understand  the project, its context, drivers & nuances.

  • Analyse & understand the opportunities & risks.

  • Map the stakeholder set – understand each lens, are they decision makers, collaborators, influencers, interested parties?

Challenge

  • Establish a culture of constructive challenge.

  • Facilitate the generative testing of ideas & assumptions.
Is the assumed outcome the absolute best possible outcome?

  • Test the value set – is everyone aligned on key aspects like innovation, design & place excellence, diversity, sustainability, value?

  • Review the ‘status quo’ in tech use, ways of working & approaches to problems – what’s optimal for this project & why?

Envision

  • Set out the vision & strategic brief with a Level 6 lens.

  • Agree on 360° success metrics (for both process & outcome) and how/ when they will be measured.

  • Develop the values and objectives into a Development/Project Brief.

  • Document the strategy for leveraging opportunities & mitigating risk.

Enable
