Lourdes Retirement Village

Planning and masterplan management for the major housing and infrastructural renewal of an existing retirement village in Killara, including significant accessibility upgrades and bushfire-resilient planning and design. The project includes 141 Independent Living Units (ILUs), a new aged care facility with 110 beds (RCF), 1,400sqm of internal communal space, and the development of 63 townhouses. Level 6 value-add has included support of rapid procurement of consultants, overseeing key deliverables of the Planning Proposal; managing the design team to respond to Council's feedback, including: lead architect together with landscape, bushfire, traffic, heritage, ecology and social impact specialists; achieving submission in a tight time-frame.

Level 6 has provided key management functions for the complex upgrade and renewal of Lourdes Retirement Village through the masterplan and planning submission stages, including: 

• Managing and overseeing the key deliverables of the Planning Proposal to The Sydney Department of Planning.

• Delivering within a tight timeframe to meet a deadline set by the Department of Planning.

• Overseeing a design team of mixed specialists to successfully respond to Council's feedback. This has included management of the lead design consultant, Plus Architecture, as well as landscape, bushfire, traffic, heritage, ecology and social impact specialists.

• Enabling the rapid procurement of consultants, including administrative support.
