Provision of full project management services for a variety of capital works projects across shopping centres in multiple states of Australia. The suite of works included new and upgraded facades; carpark upgrades; new foodcourts and amenities; base build services upgrades; base build works required to suit incoming tenants; external works; signage and wayfinding; and more. These works required collaboration and coordination with multiple internal stakeholders including development, leasing, design, and centre management teams – for holistic review and buy-in. Level 6’s services included: preparation of Business Case and formal reporting in line with AMP’s corporate requirements; development of Project Brief/Stakeholder Engagement Framework; rigorous design management with consideration of AMP guidelines and positioning of the centres, procurement of consultants and contractor, administration of contracts and superintendency.
Our scope
Level 6 provided full project management services for a suite of works, including:
Preparation of Business Case and formal reporting in line with AMP’s corporate requirements.
Development of Project Brief/Stakeholder Engagement Framework.
Regular PCG and progress reporting.
Establishment of communications plan with regular project and design team meetings.
Procurement/appointment of consultant team, management of consultant budget and administration of agreements/invoices, etc.
Preparation and management of Statutory and services Authority approvals.
Design Management – including optioneering and associated cost/benefit analyses with consideration.
Coordination with relevant internal teams including Design and Leasing (head office), and Centre Management and Maintenance (centre based) to ensure all requirements are considered and met
Risk and opportunities management.
Management of project program & budget.
Analysis of impacts on existing assets/infrastructure.
Design Development including value management.
Coordination of Request for Tender documents for Construction.
Review and analysis of contractor tender returns, participation in Contractor interviews.
Input into construction contract and liaising with AMP’s internal capital works and legal teams to formalise/execute.
Contract administration and management of the contractor through construction including handover and defects close out.
